Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about DashNex, n8n automation, and escaping the subscription trap.
🚀
Getting Started
What is DashNex and why do you recommend it?
DashNex is a one-time payment website and e-commerce platform (similar to WordPress + WooCommerce, but better). Instead of paying monthly fees to Shopify ($29-299/mo), ClickFunnels ($147-297/mo), or other platforms, you pay once ($497) and own it forever. It includes everything: store builder, landing pages, email marketing, membership areas, and more.
What is n8n and how does it fit in?
n8n is a free, open-source automation platform (like Zapier, but you own it). It connects your DashNex site to email services, payment processors, CRMs, and hundreds of other tools. Instead of paying $20-100/month for Zapier, you run n8n yourself for free (or $20/mo hosting). I provide pre-built workflows so you don't have to build from scratch.
Do I need to be technical to use this?
Not at all. If you can use Shopify or WordPress, you can use DashNex. The n8n workflows I provide are copy-paste ready—just import them and connect your accounts. I include video tutorials showing exactly how to set everything up. Most people are up and running in an afternoon.
How much money can I actually save?
Most businesses save $300-800/month by switching. Use the savings calculator to see your specific numbers. Common savings: Shopify ($79/mo) → DashNex ($497 one-time), Zapier ($49/mo) → n8n (free or $20/mo), ActiveCampaign ($49/mo) → SendGrid ($15/mo). That's $6,000-12,000 saved over 3 years.
Is there a free trial?
DashNex offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. n8n is completely free if you self-host (or free trial on n8n Cloud). You can test everything risk-free. I also provide free starter workflows so you can see how automation works before committing.

Technical Setup
Where do I host DashNex and n8n?
For DashNex: Most people use Cloudways ($12-30/mo for fast hosting) or Hostinger ($4-12/mo budget option). DashNex also has managed hosting ($29/mo). For n8n: You can self-host on a VPS like DigitalOcean ($6/mo), use n8n Cloud ($20/mo starter), or run it on the same server as DashNex. I provide setup guides for all options.
How hard is it to migrate from Shopify/ClickFunnels?
Easier than you think. Most migrations take 1-2 days: (1) Export products/customers from old platform, (2) Import to DashNex, (3) Set up n8n automation workflows, (4) Switch DNS. I provide step-by-step migration guides and can recommend freelancers if you need help.
Can I use my own domain and email?
Yes! DashNex works with any domain (from Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.). For email, you can use Gmail, Outlook, SendGrid, Mailgun, or any SMTP service. The automation workflows I provide work with all major email providers.
What if I already have WordPress/WooCommerce?
You can keep WordPress for your blog and use DashNex for your store/funnels, or migrate everything. Many people run both: WordPress for content/SEO, DashNex for selling. The n8n automation works with both, so your systems can talk to each other seamlessly.
Do I need to know how to code?
No coding required. DashNex has a visual drag-and-drop builder. n8n workflows are visual too—you connect blocks representing different services. However, if you know basic JavaScript, you can customize workflows even more. All my templates work out-of-the-box without code.

Automation Workflows
What automation workflows do you provide?
I provide 50+ ready-to-use n8n workflows for e-commerce, affiliate marketing, courses, and agencies. Examples: abandoned cart recovery, order fulfillment, customer onboarding, email sequences, lead magnets, sales reports, inventory sync, review requests, affiliate tracking, and more. All are free when you start with DashNex through my link.
How do I install your workflows?
Simple 3-step process: (1) Download the workflow JSON file, (2) Import it into your n8n instance (drag and drop), (3) Connect your accounts (DashNex, SendGrid, etc.). Each workflow includes a setup video and documentation. Most take 5-15 minutes to configure.
Can I customize the workflows for my business?
Absolutely! That's the whole point of owning your automation. You can modify any workflow: change email templates, add extra steps, connect different tools, adjust timing, etc. I provide workflows as starting points—feel free to adapt them to your exact needs.
What if a workflow breaks or stops working?
n8n workflows are reliable, but when things break it's usually: (1) API credentials expired (just reconnect), (2) Third-party service changed their API (I update workflows regularly), or (3) Missing data/edge case (fix with a simple filter). Join the Discord community for help—we usually solve issues in under an hour.
Can you build custom workflows for my specific needs?
Yes! If you need something beyond the pre-built templates, I offer custom automation development. Email me at [email protected] with your requirements and I'll send a quote. Typical custom workflows are $200-500 one-time (vs paying monthly for a SaaS tool that does the same thing).

Costs & ROI
What's the total cost to get started?
Minimum: DashNex ($497 one-time) + hosting ($12/mo) + SendGrid (free up to 100 emails/day) = $497 upfront + $12/mo ongoing. Recommended: Add n8n Cloud ($20/mo) and a custom domain ($12/yr). So roughly $500 to start, then $35/mo ongoing. Compare that to Shopify + Zapier + ActiveCampaign = $0 upfront but $150+/mo ongoing ($1,800+/yr).
When will I break even vs monthly subscriptions?
Most people break even in 3-6 months. If you're currently paying $150/mo for tools and you switch to DashNex + n8n ($35/mo), you save $115/mo. After 5 months, you've recovered the $497 DashNex cost. From month 6 onwards, you're pocketing $1,380/year in savings. Use the calculator for your exact numbers.
Are there any hidden costs?
Not really "hidden" but things to budget for: hosting ($12-30/mo), domain ($12/yr), email sending service if you go over free tier ($15-50/mo depending on volume), and optional n8n Cloud if you don't self-host ($20/mo). Still way cheaper than SaaS subscriptions, and you control the costs.
What about updates and new features?
DashNex includes lifetime updates for free—new features, security patches, everything. n8n is open-source and actively developed—new integrations added weekly. My workflow library is updated regularly, and community members contribute too. You get improvements without paying upgrade fees.
Is DashNex worth it if I'm just starting out with no revenue?
Depends on your plan. If you're pre-revenue and need to validate an idea, start with a cheaper option like Gumroad or a Shopify trial. But if you're serious about building a real business, DashNex pays for itself quickly once you have sales. The average store makes back the $497 in their first month. Use the free trial to test first.

Support & Community
What kind of support do you offer?
I offer multiple support channels: (1) Free Discord community with daily Q&A, (2) Weekly live office hours where I answer questions, (3) Email support for workflow/setup issues, (4) Comprehensive documentation and video tutorials. Response time is usually under 4 hours in Discord, 24 hours via email.
Do you offer one-on-one consulting or setup help?
Yes! I offer 1-on-1 Zoom calls for setup assistance, custom automation strategy, or migration planning. Rates are $150/hr (most setups take 1-2 hours). If you need ongoing support, I have monthly retainer packages. Email [email protected] for details.
Can I hire someone to set this up for me?
Absolutely. I maintain a list of trusted freelancers who specialize in DashNex + n8n setups. Typical setup costs $500-1,500 depending on complexity. Still way cheaper than paying monthly SaaS fees forever. Contact me and I'll connect you with someone who fits your needs and budget.
What if DashNex goes out of business?
Unlike SaaS platforms, you own your DashNex license forever. If the company disappeared tomorrow, your site keeps running—you just wouldn't get new updates. Your data, customers, and workflows stay with you. This is the whole point of ownership vs renting. SaaS companies can raise prices or shut down anytime.
How active is the community?
The Discord community is growing daily with automation enthusiasts, store owners, and agencies. We have dedicated channels for different topics, weekly Q&A sessions, and members actively helping each other. It's not as huge as Shopify's community (yet), but it's more focused and helpful. Quality over quantity.

Comparisons
DashNex vs Shopify: Which is better?
Shopify is easier for pure beginners and has more apps/themes. DashNex is better for people who want: (1) No monthly fees, (2) More control and customization, (3) Ability to run memberships, courses, and funnels (not just a store), (4) Integration with free automation tools. If you just want a basic store and don't mind paying forever, Shopify is fine. If you want to own your platform and save money long-term, DashNex wins.
n8n vs Zapier: What's the difference?
Zapier is easier to start (fully hosted, no setup) but expensive at scale ($20-100+/mo). n8n requires initial setup (15 mins) but then it's free forever (self-hosted) or $20/mo (cloud hosting). n8n also has more advanced features like code nodes, error handling, and complex logic. If you're non-technical and want simplicity, start with Zapier. If you want to save money and have more control, use n8n.
Can I use DashNex with Zapier instead of n8n?
Yes, DashNex has Zapier integration. But you'd be paying $20-100/mo for Zapier when you could use n8n for free. That defeats the whole purpose of escaping subscriptions. I recommend starting with my n8n workflows—they're free and just as powerful. Switch to Zapier only if you really can't figure out n8n (which is rare).
What about WordPress + WooCommerce? Isn't that free?
WordPress is free, but WooCommerce setups cost money: premium theme ($60), essential plugins ($100-300/yr), quality hosting ($20-50/mo), security/backups ($10-20/mo), and developer time to maintain it all. Total: $400-1,000/yr ongoing. DashNex includes everything for $497 one-time. Plus DashNex is faster, more secure, and easier to manage than a WooCommerce stack.
Is this like ClickFunnels or Kajabi?
Similar concept (all-in-one platform for sales/marketing) but different execution. ClickFunnels ($147-297/mo) and Kajabi ($149-399/mo) are monthly subscriptions forever. DashNex is one-time payment. All three can build funnels, landing pages, and sell products. The key difference is ownership. With DashNex, you own your platform. With ClickFunnels/Kajabi, you're renting.
