This Discord server exists to help automation enthusiasts learn, share, and grow together. Whether you're brand new to n8n or building complex multi-step workflows, you're welcome here.

Code of Conduct

Be Respectful

✅ Do:

  • • Treat everyone with kindness and respect
  • • Assume good intentions
  • • Use welcoming and inclusive language
  • • Respect different experience levels
  • • Give constructive feedback

❌ Don't:

  • • Insult, harass, or demean others
  • • Make personal attacks
  • • Use discriminatory language
  • • Mock "beginner" questions
  • • Engage in trolling behavior

Be Helpful

✅ Do:

  • • Answer questions when you can
  • • Share your workflows and learnings
  • • Provide context when asking for help
  • • Search before asking repeat questions
  • • Pay it forward - help others

❌ Don't:

  • • Answer with "just Google it"
  • • Gatekeep knowledge
  • • Provide wrong information intentionally
  • • Ignore context requests
  • • Spam same question everywhere

Be Professional

✅ Do:

  • • Keep discussions relevant
  • • Use appropriate channels
  • • Label affiliate links clearly
  • • Share deals in #deals-and-discounts only
  • • Use threads for extended conversations

❌ Don't:

  • • Spam or excessive tagging
  • • Post NSFW content
  • • Share pirated software
  • • Aggressive self-promotion
  • • Tag @everyone (only mods can)

Asking Good Questions

To get the best help fastest, include:

  1. What you're trying to do - "I want to auto-post to LinkedIn when I publish a blog post"
  2. What you've tried - "I set up an RSS trigger and LinkedIn node but..."
  3. The error/issue - Screenshot or copy error message
  4. Relevant details - n8n version, self-hosted vs cloud, integrations used
  5. Format code properly - Use code blocks for JSON, errors, etc.

Self-Promotion Guidelines

We want to support members building automation businesses, but not at the expense of community value.

Rule of Thumb:

For every 1 self-promotional message, you should have 10+ helpful, value-adding messages.

Moderation

We moderate with a light touch. Most issues are resolved with friendly reminders. Bans are rare and reserved for severe or repeated violations.

Enforcement Levels

  1. Friendly Reminder - First minor offense, no formal warning
  2. Verbal Warning - DM from moderator, logged
  3. Timeout - 1-24 hour timeout, cannot post
  4. Final Warning - 24-hour timeout with notice
  5. Permanent Ban - Immediate removal
